AmeriCorps Seniors

The United Way of Cache Valley's AmeriCorps Senior Volunteer Program (55+ and older) operates under the AmeriCorps Seniors framework, focusing on mobilizing senior volunteers for positive community change. This program emphasizes two primary areas:

Healthy Futures & Education-Intergenerational Programming: Senior volunteers engage the community in social support groups and activities to strengthen mental health and social ties.

Education-Intergenerational Programming: Senior volunteers support the Everyday Strong initiative in most of Cache County's schools, fostering resilience in children and acting as caring adult connections for those needing additional school support.

This program collaborates with local entities like the Cache Suicide Prevention Coalition and Cache County School Districts. Upholding AmeriCorps Seniors' principles, we ensure comprehensive volunteer training and support. The program is also dedicated to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion, valuing every individual's unique contribution. Through this effort, we aim to enhance community connection and support in Cache Valley.
